Overview

In Nepal’s northern regions, you have a thrilling opportunity to spot the elusive snow leopard. These magnificent creatures reside in Nepal’s protected mountain areas, like the Annapurna Conservation Area, Shey Phuksundo National Park, Kangchenjunga Conservation Area, Manaslu Conservation Area, Makalu Varun National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, Api Nampa Conservation Area, and Langtang National Park. Nepal is home to an estimated 350-500 snow leopards, and our tracking tour is based in the Annapurna Range, with a special focus on Manang.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, we’ll be there to welcome you at the airport. We’ll escort you to your comfortable hotel, where you can settle in. Here, we’ll provide a detailed briefing about your exciting snow leopard tracking tour. You’ll spend your first night at the hotel, ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 - Journey to Besisahar

We depart Kathmandu and embark on a scenic drive to Besisahar in a private jeep. As you wind your way through the picturesque landscapes, you’ll witness the changing scenery and gradually ascend to 830 meters. Our day ends at a cozy lodge in Besisahar.

Day 3 - Continuing to Chame

Today, we continue our journey by private jeep, making our way to Chame. The elevation rises to 2,725 meters, and the views become more mountainous. Our lodge in Chame awaits, offering a comfortable and restful stay.

Day 4 - Rest Day in Manang

Arriving in Manang, a serene village at an altitude of 3,500 meters, you’ll have a well-deserved rest day. This allows you to acclimatize to the high altitude and soak in the stunning mountain surroundings. It’s an ideal opportunity to explore the local culture and landscape at your leisure.

Day 5 - 10: Snow Leopard Tracking

Over the next six days, the heart of our journey unfolds as we trek and track the elusive snow leopard in various locations. Depending on the tracking requirements, our accommodations may vary between lodges, tents, or homestays. Rest assured, our experienced guides will seamlessly manage these logistics, ensuring your tracking adventure is both thrilling and comfortable.

Day 11: Return to Besisahar

Day 12: Journey Back to Kathmandu

Today, we depart Besisahar and make our way back to Kathmandu in a private jeep. You’ll have some free time to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub in the city. In the evening, we’ll come together for a memorable farewell dinner, celebrating the shared experiences of our journey.

Day 13: Departure
